As a centre of excellence for training, Challney High School for Boys and Community College gained Training School status is 2003. Training Schools act as experts in adult learning and the transfer of skills. They provide a venue for high quality professional development.

A unique Partnership between Challney High School for Boys and Denbigh High School has enabled us to enhance and extend our CPD provision by combining Challney's success as a Training School and Denbigh's achievements as a designated Teaching School.

We have collaborated to create a new suite of Professional Pathways. These will enable teaching staff to develop their skills and knowledge through clearly define routes linked to the Professional Standards and offer opportunities at Masters level.

For support staff, the Pathways will enable access routes to national qualifications.

Each course can be personalised by following one Pathway or choosing individual sessions.
