QUALITY TRAINING AT THE HEART OF TEACHING
Chiltern Training GroupChiltern Training Group is a School Centred Initial Teacher Training (SCITT) Provider
offering Secondary PgCE courses. We train individuals to teach the 11-16 age group for all subjects except
Business Studies which is 14-19.
We believe the best place to train teachers effectively in the highly
complex art of teaching is in schools. Formal academic lectures and
training
sessions are delivered by serving teachers and you will be based at one
of our
consortium schools throughout your training year.
Upon successful
completion of the course, you will be awarded the Professional Graduate
Certicate in Education (PgCE) validated by the University of
Bedfordshire with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
During April 2009 CTG was judged to be Outstanding (Grade 1) by Ofsted for
Overall Effectiveness and Capacity to Improve. "an outstandingly effective provider of teacher education"
