Ofsted

In February 2014 (under a different framework) Chiltern Training Group was again awarded Outstanding with Grade 1 across all of the key judgements. 

Ofsted commented on the:

  •  High level of cohesion with outstanding engagement with Partnership Schools
  •  Excellent central training backed by very skilled feedback from mentors
  •  Subject Co-ordinators provide strong quality assurance within schools
  •  Excellent monitoring and evaluation is provided by Training Support Tutors
  •  Trainees exhibit outstanding practice
  •  NQTs are ahead of expectations

PHYSICS GRADUATES

The Institute of Physics (IOP) will be awarding 150 scholarships worth £25,000 to the very best candidates starting PGCE or School Direct (non-salaried) physics teacher training in the 2014/15 academic year. Each scholarship also includes IOP membership and mentoring from a physics specialist to support you during your early career. Applications are now open.
