Chiltern Training Group was formed in 1993 by Challney High School for Boys and Community College.

It is a Consortium of sixteen Luton and Bedfordshire High and Upper Schools and the Luton Sixth Form College and has developed a comprehensive programme of Initial Teacher Training and Continuing Professional Development courses.

It is one of the longest running School Centred Initial Teacher Training (SCITT) providers in the country and offers the widest choice of subjects.

It is formally registerd with the Training and Development Agency for Schools (TDA) as an 11-16 QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) course.

The course is validated by the University of Bedfordshire.
